The PTO clutch on my 918H Agco-Allis seems to be slipping. Is there any way to repair these clutches? Or does anyone have one they want to sell? All belts are good and mower spindles turn freely. All slipping seems to be in the clutch.

This clutch is a manually activated clutch. It is adjusted properly but it slips.

Two things can make them slip when they are adjusted properly. The first is oil or grease on the clutch surface. Brake cleaner or a bake in the oven when the wife is not home will fix that. The clean up the extra grease or oil before putting the clutch back together. The second is a glaze on the surface of the bearing material. A gentle touch with a file is the way to remove that.

I would not use the oven method. One time I rewound the fields on a starter. Had to bake it in the oven. The only oven I had was at home.
Took the starter home and baked it.
Wife had a fit like I have never seem before. It ended up with me paying $600 for a new oven. At least I could sleep in my own bed again.
