Hi Again

I was wondering if anyone could help me with one other thing?

The drive belt seems to never release compleatly when I push in the clutch. I have ajusted the rod that ajusts the ideler pully But I know that the pulley is moveing fully away from the belt but the belt keeps turning causing the gears to grind when I try to put it in gear.If I stop and shift to another gear fast enough it workd.

The pulleys are rusty some But dont know if this would cause this prob. The belt is really loose when I push in the clutch.

The rust could definitely be a problem. That pulley should be shiny.

There should be some (more than one) steel pins or shields that hold the belt away from the engine pulley when the clutch is disengaged.

Finally, that tractor may need a wrapped belt rather than a cut belt. Some systems won't work without the right style belt. You need to look over one that works right and make yours the same.

Ok I will see if I can find one to look at.

Maybe I can get a wire wheel on a drill and polish the pulleys to.

I will half to look at it Fri to see if there any pins but don"t think there are only the tightner pully that moves away when the clutch is pushed.

Thank You

Garry

There should be like a half band clamp with a brake pad that goes around the "pulley" on top right of rear end, you can adjust it, has pin that is nut and hairpin clip you tighten it a few turns and it should fix the problem, that's if the shuttle is the same as 3 speed, its hard to explain but very easy to adjust its self explanatory if the shuttle is the same but it might not be.
