Thanks, found a G tractor yesterday, hauled home, runs ok, but, seems to heat up quickly. No heat gauge, I've got the radiator off now, going to get it clean out. bearing on the fan shaft is bad, can that be replaced or do I have to re-place the entire shaft assembly?

Hi Kenneth, I'm not real familiar with the Allis G but know about the Continental N62 engine used in the G the MH Pony and the Earthmaster tractor, having a clean good flowing radiator is important with thermosyphon systems, I would think the bearing would be replaceable, good luck and have fun with your tractor, I would like to have a G interesting tractors.

You do not have a thermostat in the G. The bearings can be replaced and they are about 50. Bucks each. They are not the same either, pulley end and fan end are different. I may have info. On them. I will look and see.

No thermostat on a G. In addition to a clean system it must also be FULL to work. Get the numbers off the bearings if you can and check with a bearing house. I use BDI but there are lots of them on line selling at discount.
