good afternoon all, could someone please tell me why i am getting engine oil in the air cleaner. ran mower for a couple hours then engine started running rough and blowing white smoke out of the exhaust. i see it has a breather hose between the bottom of the air cleaner housing the top of the engine block. thanking you in advance! happy

Your engine has excess blow by, pressurizing the crankcase and blowing the oil out thur the breather, time for an OH or at least a ring job.

the breather check is very important,
BUT it will only handle so much blow by.
i would also recommend a leak down
and compression test.

Very common problem with Onan engines. Breather clogs up and it will push out oil anywhere it can. Of course there are other reasons. Such as blow by. But cleaning the breather system. Should be the first thing to look at.
