great tractor-bad motor problem,engine rebuilder can not locate a crank shaft and a head to complete the rebuild, direct engine replacement? the tractor is an keeper.any ideas would be helpfull.thankyou k361qs23110a engine

Click on link below,at home pg click on repower old equip,find your make/mod tractor in listings,see what they recommend as a replacement eng.

If nothing listed as a replacement or new eng expensive goto www.partstree.com,lookup your mod/spec# in the kohler eng parts listings,get pn for crank/head then goto ebay & search kohler+crank pn and kohler+head pn or try kohler crankshaft & kohler head,you might get lucky & find a good used crank/head.

Do a google search for kohler crank & head pn.

The K361 was an overhead valve engine and most have had head issues. AFAIK, there are no good replacements available. But, I think the K341 would be a bolt in replacement. It is a 16HP flathead engine which was the basis for the overhead valve conversion.

I have one from a JD but don't know if it would work as far as crank diameter etc.

I would think a crank from a K341 would work. My understanding was the 361 and 341 were the same other than the cam timing and OHV head on the 361. K361 is a rare bird around here, never seen one in person.

i would just a 16 or a 14 k kohler in it where are you located at i have a 126 hp out of an ariens 350.00 in north east pa 18424
