Any suggestions on how to remove the starter from a Massey Ferguson No. 7 Lawn Mower.

I know that. Any easy way to remove it. Had to loosen the engine bolts and set it partially out of frame to remove the starter before. Any EASIER WAY.

I think that's about the only way to get at it.

I have a MF7.

I think you have to remove the engine. Then remove the starter. Everything is so tight around the battery tray and belt guides.

As trk said removing eng is the easiest way.I used to have an mf8 & pulled eng several times to work on starter also if you have to get to voltage reg it's sometimes easier to pull eng & replace reg rather than trying to get to with eng in place.

While you have eng out check motor mount plate shock mounts,check that they aren't dried out/cracked or soft/mushy from oil.I bought replacement mounts for my tractor from mcmaster.
