John Deere L110 fuel pickup line fell off

Does anyone have any advice on a combination of tools or trickery that will allow me to thread the in - tank nipple fitting back in without having to cut the tank open? It apparently vibrated loose and I found it laying in the bottom of the tank. The threads, of course, in a testament to the great American tradution of engineering-for-greed, are molded into the tank out of reach to make it as unservicable as possible.

I would take the tank off and weld a fitting on the tank where that one once was. It dont sound like they really thought that thru when they designed it in the first place.

I had to get mine out of both tanks on my F-932 this spring. Take the tank off and shake it out the fill neck, you may need a bent piece of coat hanger to fish it out, replace the line while you are there or you will be in it again(I did mine last spring too)

Should be a grommet(11) you can remove to get access. I would use new fuel line and a new grommet if it is cracked.

Don't weld a fuel tank. Not worth the risk.
