I just got a Wisconsin model SD8 engine at a yard sale. It supposedly was in a golf cart. It has a Delco Starter/generator on it. I can"t find a dipstick and do not know what other type of method they might have used to check oil level. I would love to hear from anyone that knows. I did get it to crank over quite willingly with the plug out. I don"t know if it was getting power to the coil, The plug was not sparking. I didn"t spend much time on it as I had more important things to work on. This is for a summer/fall/winter project. I can"t find a dipstick and do not know what other type of method they might have used to check oil level. I would love to hear from anyone that knows.I only gave $5 for it. if worse comes to worse, I see there appears to be a oil fill plug and could put the correct amount in it and make a dipstick. Thanks, Roy
