JD LX 188 Starter

I have a LX 188, with a liquid cooled Kawasaki engine. The starter kicks out after a few revolutions, have to turn the key off and try it again. I thought I would take the starter off and get it fixed. I have the 2 bolts that you can see out and the starter is still tight against the block. Is there another bolt buried somewhere? Possibly underneath the radiator on top?? Looks like I will have to drain the coolant, take the radiator off to see what's holding the starter on. Are parts for the starter available, or do I have to just buy a new one? Thanks, Chris

I can only tell you that we had a customer with an air cooled Kawasaki at the shop here and he spent 2 months looking for an aftermarket starter before he decided we could put a new one on.
Kawasaki parts are not cheap, but everything they sell is pretty good.

jdparts.com just show 2 nuts holding the starter on. you can view this yourself at jdparts.com
