Any one have a good source for the older models parts. I have an older friend who is having trouble pull starting his and I would like to find him a electric starter for it. thanks Irv

First thing to do is carefully check over eng to see if there is a tag saying eng can be converted to electric start,if you can't find a tag then remove flywheel cover & check that flywheel has a ring gear on it for starter motor.

After that goto ebay & search tecumseh h70 starter, many 120v starters listed,if flywheel doesn't have a ring gear search tecumseh h70 flywheel as flywheel will have to be replaced with a flywheel with gear.

Also check flywheel cover for a breakout plate or bump cover on back side of flywheel cover as starter drive probably won't clear flywheel cover without removing plate or no bump on flywheel cover,if cover has neither flywheel cover will have to be cut or replaced.

I had both an 8hp and an 11 hp older Toro blower, and both were Briggs engines. Not sure what the 7 hp had on it, Tecumseh or Briggs.

thanks for replies. This machine actually had electric start but some where along the line was removed. Only thing missing is the starter and wire connections. thanks again Irv
