Kohler K series fuel pump kit and K341 value.

Does a fuel pump rebuild kit exist for these anymore or are you stuck buying the stupid plastic pump?

I have a K341 in a marquette welder. Engine runs good, machine welds good. A local has a 341 advertised for $650 on craigslist, are they really bringing that much? Guy seems to know his stuff on other things he's selling.

I plan on fixing/replacing the fuel pump on the welder and putting it up for sale as I don't use it much, I've had it for at least 10 years and used it a few times. What would you guys ask for s omething like this considering the motor seems to be "sought after"?

sorry to say but you have to buy a new one , as they don t sell repair kits .

If the outlet on tank is higher than carb,bypass pump & gravity feed carb,remove pump & buy/make a blank up plate/gasket and install on block.

The motor might be sought after. But, if that welder is anything like a generator, the crankshaft is tapered. The engine will only be good for another welder.

Check Ebay for prices for the welder.

Sky high price for a K341. They can be rebuilt for about $250 in all but the worst condition. Had that in mine, new rod, piston, valves, and gaskets. That includes machine work to bore and do the seats. Never know what you are getting used, so many things don't show up until it has run for an hour or two.

as much as I hated to I've bought 2 plastic pumps & they've worked fine. one is 2 years old now. pat's small engines for $28.00
