Hi G1355, 120 psi is good, as Joe posted it could be a lean setting of the idle circuit, turn the idle jet out about 1/4 turn and see if it starts and runs better if you make it too rich it will smoke black when the throttle is advanced, those are good old engines lots of power and torque and they do like gas. If you want a manual for the engine look for: B&S Repairman's Handbook for Older Engines 1919-1981 CE8069, it should be available on the web somewhere, it covers many engines and at first is a little hard to figure out but all the information is there. The owner operators manual is available from B&S on there site, you'll need all the numbers off the blower housing Model type and code numbers.

Your carburetor may be similar to the one on my Toro Grassking mower. You may need to open that main jet adjusting screw. If they're too lean the engine may overheat and lack power when working the tractor hard. Hal
