I am looking for a carb kit for a Sears 500-108022 original briggs engine
also need the oil bath filter for this engine
anyone have any help on these???

have you tried to come up with the Briggs part number for the carb. kit on Sears Parts website? They have some of the really old stuff on there.

If you can come up with the Briggs part number about any Briggs dealer can tell you if it is still available.

I would check Ebay for the air filter. If yours is the one with the funny offset intake, You may have to search for it as a David Bradley part.
 
I just tried your model number at Sears Parts and it had no info on it. So I was wrong.

Another thought is to post a picture in the "Help Identify" section on this website.
 
In addition to the model number, you will likely need the type number,and serial number as well, if they are available, as they can lead to pertinent information as well.
 
For the air cleaner Ebay is going to be your friend. Play around a bit and bookmark some search parameters. I swear, sooner or later you can find ANYTHING there.

I have located an air cleaner on Ebay.The needle on the float is still hanging up now and then but if I shut the fuel off when I shut her down its great.Thanks for all the info
