I,m looking at the apparatus on your Wards plow, I have a couple Wards w/plows and never seen a setup like that.

Can you explain what and how it works, Thanks Jim

The plow was off an old Viking walk behind tractor
that I bought in 1960 for $15.00. That included the plow, disk and cultivator. I sold the Viking in 1971 after I bought my Wards tractor, but I kept the plow.

In order to get it to plow right I had to make a template of the Vikings handles out of thin cardboard. The hardest part was heating the metal for the handles to get them to the right bend. The plow's drawbar is mounted in between those handles and was welded. Two 1/2" holes were dilled in the drawbar for the depth lever that tilts the plow point.

If you look close you can see 4 tapped 3/8 NF holes for installing the plow frame in the sleeve hitch. There's also a cross piece of metal welded to support the plow that uses two 3/8 cap screws. Installing the plow on the sleeve hitch was a big pain using the cap screws so I made the that little bracket on front the plow to fit the sleeve hitch using one pin. I had to countersink the bolt heads on that bracket in
order to have enough room to connect to the sleeve hitch. My hydraulic cylinder lifts and lowers the plow. Hal
