Hello anyone/everyone, I have an old Burns garden tractor / lawn tractor. Serial # 1230 with a 9 horse Briggs and Stratton motor Model # 23 CB. I believe it is early 1960"s It is in good shape. I have had it for years. Unfortunately I need to replace the two drive belts that power it"s movement. I can NOT read the numbers on the belts to make sure I get the right style and size. I do NOT have an owners manual. I could try and match them up, but they are most probably stretched out of shape. does anyone know what size or belt number the drive belts are for this tractor. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Gary

Take your old belts to your local auto parts store to see if they can measure them. You can buy shorter belts to see if they will fit. You can exchange them if they too long or short. I have that engine on a Toro Whirlwind mower. Hal

Take yor old ones to an electric motor shop . Most of them have a large supply of belts. They can try to match them up and if not right size ( try them on don't run it)take back and exchange for differant size. They handle industral belts which hold up better.

I use Gates green stripe belt on my Troy Bilt tiller since you're engaging and disengaging the drive belt. It's been on there 8 years. Hal
