head bolt torque

seems as though it would be easy to find on the internet. cannot do it as of yet. head bolt torque for 10 hp briggs, flat head.

local says 55 ft lbs, this sounds a bit much, such a small bolt.

Hi Ken just which model B&S is this engine Briggs has been building engine for about 100 yr many being 10 hp, if its a model 25000 series the torque is 165 in lbs or 14 ft lbs.
