Briggs curiosity question

Is a Briggs / Stratton Extended Life Series XRD an Inteck or??
All the numbers are Model 440777, Type 0127 G1, Code 090217 YG .
This engine is in a Huskee Supreme 23-46. Model 13AS608H731 S/N 1E104H207--. I was told the original engine had warrenty problems (surging?) and to fix the Lawn Mower they put this new 27HP in it. I got it several years ago for well under $1K and it has been good so far.

I can only tell you that a lot of those 44XXXX series engines said Intek on them.

But what is in the Intek name? As soon as they think of something else, they will change the sticker again.

P.S. Don"t worry about that "27 Hp." thing. That sticker will lay there and let them write anything on it they want to say. You can also find that same size engine with "24 hp." on it, and probably other horsepower claims as well.

The question down below about Huskee belts reminded me of mine as you have to pull the battery out to get to the top belt under the seat.
