Older 4ws JD mowers?

Looking for information and/or opinions: will be in the market for a used four wheel steer garden tractor about 5-10 seasons old, preferably a JD as there is a dealer nearby. My old 200 series getting to cumbersome for all the trees that are planted. Currently dragging one and two 60" tow mowers, but spaces are getting tighter and the JD getting tireder. Would want suggested model numbers and will need at least a 54" deck and snow blower model numbers. Also opinions on whether these machines can have front loaders and are pullers for other yard work like hauling wood.
Hoping to be able to afford something not used by a lawn service with high hours. I need about a 100 hours per year, hopefully a gasser and hopefully under $5K but I suppose the snow blower will drive that price up. Any one have experience with those older JD 4Ws?

The older 4WS setup wasn't that robust. If you got one with low hours it would be ok, otherwise you'd be looking for regular rear axle parts and taking off the 4WS bits.

You could get more and better information on weekendfreedommachinesDOTcom.
