Wodering if you good folks could give me some
general information regarding this tractor? I have
found that this tractor was made by Simplicity
before Briggs and Stratton controlled this
company. I have also noted that Briggs and
Stratton do not support replacement parts from
this time period and Agco pretty much blows you
off when inquiring about replacement parts. With
these beliefs in mind would it be advisable to
purchase a good running unit with mower deck. I am
wondering if the first problem develops will it be
the last ,due to expensive replacement parts or
difficulty in obtaining the appropriate parts. I
plan on utilizing this unit for mowing. Your
thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.
Thanks

I have a similar model - the 716. Has a 16hp Kohler engine on it. Starts and runs well. No complaints.
The tractors made by Simplicity are still well supported by Simplicity dealers. I also have a Deutz-Allis 914 which is also made by Simplicity.
One thing that I found peculiar - there was no attempt made to disguise the manufacturer. My tractors have the Simplicity model and serial numbers still attached to them. Most parts are easily looked up on PartsTree.com, and generally are given as Simplicity part numbers. I have found that anything I needed was readily available - if not somewhat pricey. Overall, I like both tractors.

Great tractor! Many of the parts that wear like filters, belts and blades are available on E-bay. Many used parts are available there also.

Those tractors are basically the same as a whole lot of other Simplicity and AC garden tractors.Parts are everywhere probably the easiest older garden tractor to find parts and equipment for going.Go to the Simpletractors website and find out all you ever wanted to know about them.I have many parts and equipment pieces that'll fit that tractor.

All you need to remember is SANDY LAKE IMPLEMENT. I have several AC/Simplicity garden tractors and Sandy Lake can get about anything you need. Go to the Simplcity tractor club site and you'll find all the info you need.
