Cub Cadet 129

I am having a starting problem with my CC 129. When I turn the ignition switch to the start position it may try to start or it may not do anything. I tried another ignition switch and it does the same thing. It"s been doing this since I bought the tractor last year.
The PO has bypassed the safety switch.
If someone has a wiring diagram, please send me a copy.

BTW, how do you jump start this tractor?

Thanks, JB9959

You may have a problem with your solenoid. It is a little tough to find it on this tractor. You'll need to remove the gas tank, it is in the cavity below the steering wheel. Before replacing it check and make sure connections are tight and clean.

Solinoids that are weak and going bad can be a real pain. You turn the key and hear a click or nothing or a click and nothing happens. All three are indicators. Direct jump from positive terminal to the power post on your starter will make it start right now. Good luck Jeffcat

This should get you a wiring diagram. There are 2 safety switches, the PTO and NEUTRAL switch.

Best tool for diagnosing this type of electric problem is a simple 12v test light.

Thanks for all the help. I used the diagram to check connections.
The problem was the starter solenoid. I changed one from another tractor and it starts fine now.

Thanks again.
