I was following the JD manual on replacing the elec lift cylinder (linear actuator)and ran into a puzzle. Book say remove the pin on the output end. No close up picture. There is a heavy offset sheet metal part either covering or welded to the end of a visible pin that appears to go thru the bushing which goes thru the output end of actuator ram.
If that pin which is about 3 inches long is to be removed, the offset has to swiveled aside, but appears to be welded. Before I use force to bend or swivel, does any one know how that assembly works? Thanks for your time, Leo.
