Hi I"m looking into buying a cub cadet 1210 hydro. That has 346 hours on the meter. From the pics the body seems to be in great shape and he says it runs great. Also has the bagger system. He is asking $750. Is this a good price

Probably not too bad a price but one of that vintage I might try to get some knocked off the price. What engine is in it? Size of deck?

I have a 1200 Cub Cadet. It"s the same as the 1210 but has a stick transmission. It has been on the farm since 1978. My clock show"s 360 Hr. BUT it has been around six or seven times. If you have it for 36 years and use 3 Hr./ week for 20 weeks each year; your looking at over 2000 Hr. Last year I had the engine rebuilt, that cost some, rebuilt the deck for the 4 th. time and repainted it again. It is a better unit than what I can buy today; but, it is what it is. Ed

The 1210 replaced the 1250. The engine is a Magnum 12 instead of a K301. The frame, hood, dash and transaxle are different-all 82 series. The transaxle is the big aluminum housing with the heavy axles and fine spline carrier. They are definately a step up from the quietline tractors-they are quieter, steer easier and have a larger gas tank.
