John Deere 325 garden tractor.

Wanting info in regards to the quality and likelihood that a 1997 JD 325 with 500 hrs will last for the next 15 years or so with proper maintenance and attention. Considering acquiring a JD325 and have never owned a JD unit. Ive been a kubota fan and have been well pleased with my kubota mowers.Any info good or bad would be appreciated.

The only thing I don t like about the 325 is if you touch the hood with a branch it will crack(top half is right at 250.00) build a brush guard/bumper for it. Mine has been mowing grass for four years with out a hood.

I bought a 325 at a John Deere auction in 2004. Been mowing 1 acre of grass for the last 10 years with it. Still going strong. Had to replace the transmission drive pulley two years ago.

Been cuting 2 acres every wk. scince 1998 With one keep oil and trans. fluid changed keep belts in good shape and they are a fine machine.
