Kohler Command 25 add more power

I have a kohler command 25hp and was wonder what things i can do to gain some more power, its totally stock right now. Thanks!
 
Hi Blake,
25hp is a lot of power for most anything around the back yard, and small farm. If you need more power you are going to spend lots of money. Turbo chargers don't come cheap, and then also you probably would have to have an engineer figure out which one would be best for your application. Also if it is for the around the yard it won't make much cents because weight ratio. It would be better to go with a bigger heaver tractor unless you are intending to pull at a tractor pulling event.

You are probably limited to porting, polishing manifolds, and some carb work, if you can find an older carb, with adjustable mixture screws.
 
If you want more power, get your checkbook out. They make differant high compression pistons,better intakes cams and carbs. all it takes is a few dollars
 
Depending on what class you intend to run tractor in eng/tractor must be basically stock,in all classes except E(modifed stock)in all classes you can add a max of a 1/2" spacer between carb/block & have a posi/locked axle rear if oem by tractor mfg.In all classes fuel must be pumped gas,no additives or alcohol,the term pumped gas is a broad term,and doesn't define if gas can be hi-test or aviation gas as these are also pumped fuels although either/both may damage eng,this may be a gray area & have to be explored.

In E class-modifed stock you can do internal work to stock block and are probably only limited by the $$ you want to spend for modifications.

If you don't have a copy of rules,do a google search for pulling tractor rules,scroll down to 2013 garden tractor pulling rules & download/save rules.
