Pto switch broke when I stopped to move a tree branch so I shut off motor,Now wont start engaged, turned in knob in front of seat and pushed 100 feet to garage. Put on new switch, started right up "but" will not move in reverse,mowed for about 15 minutes, trying reverse every once in a while,nothing. What can you suggest to fix or try? Thanks in advance

Sounds like the valve for the hydro is stuck. Whwn you turned the knob the plunger probably stuck. Try spraying some WD-40. Otherwise the only way may be to pull the fender deck to loosten up the stuck valve

I had that problem on a JD 140 that wouldn't back. Found it was the check valve. It freed up
after some use. Hal
