I am trying to identify this craftsman rider. Does anyone know where I may find any info on it?

Trust me, google is sick of looking so much for this. I wish it were that easy!

I will say it this way, I started in the small engine (lawn and garden equpt.) shop at a Sears Catalog order plant in 1965, I don't remember ever seeing a mower like that! So it must be older than say, 1964.
The thing sure looks to be in good shape for its age, does it run?

It sure does. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bEdYAWC6n4
That is the link to a video. I spoke with yardman this morning (great people!) and we were able to verify it being a yardman mower and having a 4 horse Tecumseh engine in it. So I called Tecumseh and they said it was a 74. There is no way it is that new. So, the search continues on a year!

The engine that's on it came out around 1957 and
the recoil starter looks like a Fairbanks Morse
that puts it before the mid-1960s.

My Tecumseh manual that gives cross-reference
numbers does not even show your specific engine #.
Looks like 143.50010? My Tecumseh dealer book
shows . . . Craftsman 4 horse vertical engines as
143.50040, 143.50045, 143.54500, and 143.54502.
Engines will be Tecumseh V40, V40B, VX40A, VX40B,
and VCX40B.

I've probably got around 50 riders of the same
vintage. They tend to bring $75-$100 at auction.
