Thinking of buying a used 2008 Exmark KOH 60 "

I know nothing about looking at a used zero turns. It was traded in at a dealer on a new bagging one. It has 1613 commercial hours on it. It appears well taken care of. No leaks not all banged up. It has the 25 hp Kohler command sp V twin engine it also has the striper on the back. What are the good bad and the ugly of this machine? What should I look for? They are asking $ 3195 as is no warranty. I have about 3 acre of grass to mow and thought this might last me for a long time. It would replace a belt eating Cubcadet 1200 with a 50” deck. It keeps eating belts every pulley and the center spindle has been replaced I have been battling this and some other minor problems with this tractor going on 2 years and just can not get it right and at the end of my rope on it and moving on.

Well, it is a 6 year old machine, been used commercially. In my opinion, he is a little high for what it is. But, that is me. The Kohler engines, if taken care of, with the proper and correct oil, is a very reliable engine, I have seen those engines run over 3000 hours, but, the normal is 1500-2000 hours. Really not anything bad, Exmark makes a good machine, belts are pricey when broken, most all parts are pretty high priced. Check the deck bearings, as most some Exmark products do not have replaceable bearings, if they go bad, you buy spindle asm, not cheap. see if they will let you mow with it, see how the pumps respond, they should be quiet, not noisy or whiney, should work real smoothly.Deck should run without any vibration, clutch should snap in and out very quick, no delay. If you start the engine and it has lifter tap, then I would be a little concerned, as it does have hydraulic lifters in it and if the machine has not had proper maintenance, that can happen.

i have a JD 54 inch cut zero turn unit with kohler 325hrs $2500.00. brand new 54" zero turn dixon speedztr 3150.00 used 60 inch grizzly dixon 3100 750hrs let me know that seems awfully high for the hrs Exmark far as brand no big deal its just the color you seting on as alll brands out there run the same brand components the majority of time. it sounds like our cub unit just has alignment issues. L can put you in new tractor 54" deck for 2600.00 3yr warranty let me know located southeast ia
