I'm looking for a good used rider, not over the $1500 range, Don't want to go Deere, nothing against them but don't want one. Would like Hydro, 48-60 inch deck. I know there is a lot of used junk out there. Trying to eliminate problems in the future.

When you say rider-are you looking for a lawn tractor or a garden tractor? there is a difference between them.If $1500 is the max you want to spend & you're looking for a lawn tractor,just goto home depot,lowes,sears etc and buy a new tractor,many stores running in store unadvertised specials on display models to clear floor because it's end of mod yr/season & most are probably within your price range.

Used and $1500.00 and you want a decent one? Wheel Horse, Simplicity, Cub Cadet, Deere, Ariens. Shop around, look at your local Craigs List, consider what dealer support you have locally in your decision. Personally I'd stay away from Sears, Poulon, MTD, Yard Man, etc.

You have your tractor in your avatar you cant go wrong with a Case or Ingersoll garden tractor a 444 with a Kohler engine
is a strong torque monster or if you need more power you can get 446 with a Onan they are more to rebuild but a good one will last for a long time ether can do the job plus down the line you can put a 3-point or sleeve hitch for all kinds of attchments
I see both brands in the Ohio C/L all the time
Go look at one take it for a ride you will like it
I have a 444 black frame it's a 84 and I have 2-446 ones a 81 and the other one is 75 if I could only have one it would be the 444 easy on gas and never gives me a hard time I use it year round
