Cub Cadet hydro 1250

So I have this 1250 hydro here to change out the hyd pump due to it not wanting to move. Got it to fire up just a little bit ago and had it jacked up on the rear and tried forward and reverse. At first the one wheel on one side would spin all be it slow in either forward or reverse. But after I grabbed it all movement stopped. So since I do not know what or where to look can any body give me ideas as to what maybe wrong. Fluid is full filter is new. So where and what do I look for?? Any place to check pump pressure and if so how much PSI should it read??
Thanks

If the tractor was towed faster than a SLOW walk, the hydro is most likely shot. The best thing is to replace with a good used unit. New parts are costly.

First, check the driveshaft. Shearing the pin is common on those and the shaft will turn, but when any load is placed on it the coupling will spin on the pump shaft.

Also, check the two relief valves on top on the pump. If the pins are stuck down, it won't move. Usually some penetrating oil and a long soak will fix that.

I know the drive shaft shear pins are good I had the drive shaft out when I switched the hyd pump out. Matter of fact I had the whole rear end out to make it easy to remove the hyd pump and then put the replacement back on.
And yes I was wondering if the relief valve could cause that problem so will pull them tomorrow and make sure they move as they should. Maybe they need a good ATF treatment

I just replaced the pump assembly on it. So already been there so that should have taken care of the towed problem if it had one that is. History of this machine is very lacking since the guy who owns it got it this way
