Ingersoll 224

OK here we go. I just got hold of an Ingersoll Rand 224 garden tractor. My dad got it from someone and MAN is this thing a BEAST! It has a 14hp Kohler engine and is a Hydrive unit. I got it running and it is a very powerful machine. You lift the hood and there is nothing but engine!
Now for the help. I toured Fleabay and cannot find owner or service books for the Ingersoll or Case models. Anybody got any ideas? This machine has a short somewhere in the safety circuit so I just left the wire off and jump the solenoid. Everything works and so does the hydraulic lift. It has the Hi/Low rear drive too. Other than that it is going to be a very impressive chunk of iron. Thanks jeffcat

congrats on your find they are great work horses as you already know, as to books they are around I will look I may even have a extra but you can join the CCI group Colt/Case/Ingersoll sorry I do not know how to post you a link but they have available to members most ops/service manuals available for download Tom Arnold( many others here as well) visits here quite often and he is very much in the know on the working/repair/operation of these fine compact tractors I added a diagram for you that should be the same as what you have

Thanks so much! As I said this thing is a BEAST. There is nothing but engine under the hood. I can't wait to play with this thing. By the way I stopped at my local cub cadet dealer and the dip stick for a cadet 105 and these 224 ingersoll tractors lists for ...........$80.oo BUCKS! I got to start digging around. Jeffcat
