I Have a Roto Spader Model # 143 135012 would like info on this tiller is it worth restoring and where can I get manuals and parts since Sears no longer supports Thanks

Gary, the number you listed is the model number for the engine, which was manufactured by Tecumseh. The actual model number for the tiller should start with "785". Most of Sears tillers were made by a company named "Magna American" which, according to wicki-wakey pedia, was closed when Magna corp sold off their steel division.
Google "Magna American rototillers"and you will find several places listed that claim to have parts.
They were good tillers, and if it seems to be
complete, and the engine OK, yes, it would be worth restoring. When you go to these old equipment shows you see a lot of garden tractors and lawn tractors that have been restored, but not many tillers, chain saws and such. And good luck.

To add to info shadetree posted,ma was bought by general power equip, which later sold the tiller & several other outdoor divisions to mtd.You might want to try going to mtd website & get phone# for customer service & give them a call, they might be able to help you with a sears/ma cross ref mod# if you can find an id tag on tiller frame,manual/parts list may be avail at mtd website as a free download,on many of the older/smaller tillers the id tag was a small steel/aluminum tag riveted to lip of tiller frame between handles.

I have an old ma tiller I bought used sold by agway, several yrs ago I was still able to download a manual/parts list at mtd website. If mtd can't help you with manual try going to ebay & search sears roto spader manual, many times old manuals will be listed there.

Without checking my sears/tecumseh eng cross ref,if this tiller has a 3-4hp vert shaft eng & tiller has power rev,the for/rev clutch linings for tiller are extremely hard/impossible to find, the rev lining is shot on mine & I couldn't find a replacement clutch lining & now use without power rev.
