140 JD Trans dipstick

Looking for a tranny dip stick for a 140 JD. I am from MN. Thanks

Don't think there is one. The later model, 300, uses a plastic line that goes from near bottom of differential to the top. Passes thru a window in the rear of the frame for proper oil level height.

Your plastic line may be gone as they get old and deteriorate (fall to pieces).

Just looked at JDparts and it shows a dipstick (two versions of tube) but NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Maybe you can do something like the 300 series.

Serial number over or under 30,000, as the hydros are COMPLETELY different at that point.

If the dipstick you need is for after s/n 30,000, the P/N is AM32616 and Parts Depot in Clifton, WI has one in stock. They do not sell direct but you can call them at !.800.743.3768 and they will advise you who in you area has an account with them, they do not have the dipstick for the early serial number.
