Cub Cadet 127 PTO Knock/Wobble

Bought a very nice 69 127 that had not been run in quite some time. Did all the normal fuel system and ignition service. Fires up and runs perfect but the crank pulley connected to the generator wobbles and knocks at idle but stabilizes and quiets down at any other speed. The pulley in front of that pulley that actually drives the mower seems stable and quiet. Is this as simple as the drive portion of the pto clutch has a bad bearing? Schematics indicate drive portion replaces as assembly with no serviceable parts. Any insight, similar experience and solutions are appreciated.

You need to get a new starter pulley/PTO bowl. They work loose and wear out the center hole for the crank. Not a cheap part but they can be snagged new on ebay for about $60 occasionally.

Midwest super cubs has a billet front pulley for $78 vs oem best price for basket pulley $110. I'm just building a puller replica for my great nephew and never intend to need a front pto. Anyone used one of these billet pulleys good or bad?

O and forgot to mention the cool factor. Replaced the bulky muffler with chrome vertical exhaust which really visually opens up the pulley area.
