fuel pump kohler 10 horse
12 volt coil- borrowed from '67 VW
battery is old, but will restart machine by key fine, starts right up
"When it surges like that, I would say lack of fuel or governor."
i tried several carbs, 4 acutally and no change. Fuel bowls cleaned on all, no visable crap in fuel when i draw off a sample in glass jar.
"Make sure governor arm is snug on shaft."
Ya, but if lose, is it likely to repeat the process over and over like clockwork for about 1/2 hour? i kinda think not.
I am leaning toward the governnor itself.
I have a FARMALL M that had wollard out holes in the governor weights. Set at low idle it would jump to full throtle.
I gotta go back later
Hopefully someone will know the correct holes the linkages go into. If it is anything like my 8 hp, you have 4 choices.
