Identification of a Wheel Horse Mower for Manuals

I have an old Wheel Horse mower (approx 20 years old) which needs some engine work after it was rolled in a ditch. Because of it's age, identification of the mower isn"t ideal - Onan Performer 15X5L (or maybe 15XSL?) It has two long handles that come up for steering. The previous owner gave me the following information - Onan Wheel Horse 16x31 (maybe 16x311??), 616Y, Model 26440. I would like to find owner/service manuals for this mower if someone can help me identify it! I have serial numbers for the the mower and deck if that helps. Thanks, Deb

What you have is probably a 616-Z(zero turn mower)and probably a rebranded toro proline series, goto link below & click on toro logo, from list of equipment click on mowers zero turn, scroll down list of models to bottom, click on either 92 models listed(Y1-16OEE4,Y1-16OE04)look at decals list #1 & #2 for both,if decals same/similar to decals on your unit, look at several of the assembly drawings/parts list to confirm mower same as your's,if drawings match your mower write down mod# and sn range.

After that goto website below & enter mod#/sn,when entering mod# the letter after 16 is actually an O for onan, not a zero, when entering sn in search start with low end of sn range, check & see what if anything in the way of manuals is avail as a free download,if nothing comes up try going to ebay & typing wheelhorse manual in search & go thru listings to see if any manuals listed.

Thank you so much Joe. It may be an "89 version due to the serial number beginning with a 1. Haven"t found a manual for it yet, but at least now I know what I"m looking for a little better!
