For the information of all reading this off topic thread...
I checked out the seller. His feedback rating is excellent. 2 negatives and 585 positives. So, I read some of the feedback. Overwhelmingly complimentary. The 2 negatives were simple misunderstandings from unreasonable buyers. Like one is from a buyer that insists that the listing for local pickup only be shipped to him. He has been a member for over 11 years. This tells me that he is an honorable man that I would not hesitate to do business with.

Now, having said this, what is the point in venting against the seller here in a forum that has nothing to do with eBay? And why slander eBay here? (fleabay?? a fence for stolen goods?)

FYI eBay has a rather extensive conflict resolution department. They are very thorough and effective. They are monitoring MILLIONS of transactions daily. How incredible is that???

IMHO eBay has made the world a better place. They have made it possible for me to buy or sell items that would be impossible otherwise.

Telling the TRUTH is NOT "slander". The TRUTH is he waited eleven days to mail it, then was uncooperative and NASTY when I nicely asked him when he REALLY mailed it and if he would check at his PO to see if they could come up with any more tracking information than was available on the consumer site.

Had he been HONEST about the eleven-day delay and not NASTY right of the bat this would never have been posted.

BTW, I'm ALMOST as experienced on ebay as he is, having 582(+) and NO (-), and this was one of the nastiest experiences I've EVER had with an ebayer.

I can honestly say that in over 600 transactions, I have only had 2 bad ones, and both were small amounts, and were eventually resolved. Without eBay, I would have never been able to get parts for my antique Packard. I also would have paid excessive prices for other parts and supplies that I have bought over the years.

Examples: 1) Replacement motor for my dryer - retails locally for over $200. Found on eBay from a retiring dealer that was liquidating his business for $60 with free shipping.

2) Ignition module for weedwhacker. Locally more than the machine was worth. eBay for $12.00

3) Taillight for pickup. Locally $175 from dealer. Aftermarket on eBay for $35.

I could keep going with many more examples, but I think you get the idea. I **LOVE** eBay!!!!

Now consider: out of millions of transactions daily, only a handful turn out badly. In your case, slow shipping, poor communication, and attitude are his transgressions. Give him the negative feedback if you must, but at least be truthful and objective. That will most likely hurt him more than venting here.
