You guys called it right. the head gasket on my engine was gone. I replaced the gasket and did a tune-up on the valves,and it fired right up,It sounds like new. Its so nice not having to fill it up with oil, I ran it for three hours the other day and the oil was right up and stayed nice and clean. So thanks guys I"ve learned so much and really enjoy this site. matt p
