John Deere 322 no spark?

My 322 ran good when I parked it 2 days ago,tried to start it found it has no spark.I replaced the module last year [aftermarket] any Ideas of how to check?

What engine does it use?

Module makes me think it is electronic points Kawasaki. So, it would have a kill wire to the coil.

Use a new sparkplug and remove kill wire from coil to test coil. If no spark, then your coil is most likely no good.

If it has a different engine, there are different tests.

check your coil bracket. sometimes they break and you loose your coil ground. BUT gut says bad module

   I am a retired Technical Trainer for JD.  We taught a seven step system for diagnosis of a product concern.  #1 step is "know the system", the two posters below do not know the system.

   Electrical power comes from the Ignition switch through a 25 A. fuse located in front of the dash.  Power flows to the #3 terminal on the Time Delay Control Module.  When that module is satisfied power flows from the #2 terminal and feeds power to all three ignition coils, one for each cylinder.  With the switch "on" you should see 12Volts at all three coils from the orange wire that is common to all three.

  There are three Pulsars in the flywheel housing located each 1/3 the way around the housing.  Those Pulsars signal the Transistor Module which in turn controls the ground side of the individual coils.  Each coil has two wires, one to feed voltage (orange) and one for the ground.  When the Transistor Module takes ground away from the coil it creates a high voltage surge to create a spark from the coil.  Yes these coils fire the spark plug each time the piston gets near TDC.

  This is a system similar to what you have on your auto or pickup if they are newer than about 97.

   Forgot the test procedure!  Use a test light, it should be lighted with the switch "on' on all three coils at the orange wires.  Now move it to the ground wire and crank the engine.  Test light should be on when the Transistor Module has taken ground away from the coil and go out when coil is grounded, should flash as you crank the engine.

OK I checked as you said and found the Orange wire hot all the time w Ignition on.
Black wire was hot also but just wavered did not BLINK as I anticipated.
Only checked the first coil did not repeat with all three.
Any other suggestions. help??
