I put a fuel pump on my LX178 last fall and I was mowing tonight and it was running out of fuel. I took the cap off the tank and it eventually started again but stopped a short time later. I blew out the vent hole and it started again after it sat and stumbled for a while. Do these Kawasaki engine have a problem with fuel pumps? Steve

No they don't. Sounds like you may have a pluged line. Check the fuel pickup in the tank. It is easy to get grass in the tank and it sinks to the bottom. The fuel pickup will suck it up but get pluged at the top where it turns 90degrees and the fuel line hooks on. I see this a lot.
