Gilson Lawn Mower deck belt...

I have a friend with a Gilson Mower and it needs a mower deck belt. The model # is 52082 47466. It is an 11 HP tractor that we guess was built around 1978. Anyone out there have a Belt size or part number? I cannot find any parts listing on the Web. You guys are my only hope. Thanks, Dandy Dave!
 
Where is that number from? See if you can find a 33xxx number on the frame somewhere.

I have a parts book for a 1971 model Gilson. El Toro and others might have better resources to help you.

If you have the old belt, it can be measured at a parts store.

Post a picture link and I will see if it looks like mine.

The mower for my Wards tractor is a 42 inch rear discharge model number 33142A. I probably have the belt number for it in the manual. Get the model number off your mower and contact lawnboy at 1-800-526-6937 to see if they have a parts manual for your mower as they're free. Hal
 
Wards also used Gilson part numbers and Gilson probably made mowers for Wards 11hp tractors. Hal
 
The long V-belt on my mower is 5/8" X 96" from the pto to the mower. P/N is 12684. The cutter V-belt is 5/8 X 90" and p/n is 11783. Lawn Boy should have the manual. Hal

Thanks for the replys. Will look on the mower deck for a number. The belt on it is way too narrow and totally wrong. Dandy Dave!
 
Got back to look and there are no numbers that I can see on the mower Deck. I do believe You are right Hal. 5/8ths X 96 will work. Thanks for the info, Dandy Dave!
 
Finally have this sorted out. The belt for this paticular Gilson and deck is a 5L980 NAPA #. 5/8's by 98 inches. 96" was too short. Dandy Dave!
