1968 cub 125

I have acquired a 1968 cub 125 that came with a deck, a blade, and a snowblower. It runs good, drives ok, but leaks hydro oil like crazy. Also, the PTO clutch does not engage. My question is, are these early hydros any good? Is it worth fixing the leak? Is the cork gasket the most likely culprit?

The Cub Cadet of that vintage were bullet proof.
Where is it leaking? Is it the filter base or one of the lines? They are easy to work on, the pto clutch can be rebuilt, the kit is still avaiable and has the instructions included with it.
Depends on what you are going to do with it, determines how much to spend.

That's the problem, I don't know where its leaking from. Looks like its coming from the bottom fitting on the pick-up tube, but I had it out, teflon taped it and tighten the heck out of it and it still leaks. So it seems to be leaking from some where else and dripping down off the pickup tube.

There is a cork gasket that is between the Hydro Unit and Rear End that traditionally goes bad, especially after 40+ yrs.
