Information on vintage Kut Kwick

I am looking for information on a vintage Kut Kwick field mower I just bought. The engine is a briggs 23D which i think dates to 1963. Anybody out there know where to find out information on old Kut Kwick equipment? the basic google searches didn't seem to do much except tell me the company is still in business, claims they invented this kind of mower, and doesn't seem to respond to vintage data requests. I added a link to pictures i posted on this site when i thought it was a gravely.

You gonna need to send a picture to the factory. The model tag is gone from the fender. You might look on the back of the frame. Some were stamped in.We've had kut kwiks here sense the 50s.Good machines back in the day.I've still got one bought in the 70s.

Kut Kwick factory got back to me. Steve Johnson (General Manager) and Bert Cash (Customer Support) were very helpful and identified it as a Model J902-36 made throughout the 60s and tried hard to get any history on the unit for me that they could considering it looks like the engine was not shipped with the unit originally.

The unit mows the rough stuff way better than my three year old Billy Goat commercial walk-behind mower even 50 years old. I will paint it up nice and post some pictures.

I must say Kut Kwick"s new style equipment looks impressive for mowing slopes and roadsides and heavy brush and are likely well designed, built and supported. Tough mowers still made in America!

I know as much as probably anyone about these machines and do love the one and two cylinder vintage Kut Kwicks.
I would deeply appreciate if you refer anyone offering for sale any and all single or twin cylinder Kut Kwicks back to me as I will buy every one that I can get my hands on. I do easily have the funds and storage as well as it is only a great dream to reverse engineer the best and even have new appliances added for small farmers that especially use two wheel tractors around the world. I do try to watch the internet and this is one of the only posts I have found as I have been searching but not weekly for almost 20 years. I give my full name and exact email information as I am rock solid reliable and DO stand behind what I constructively share with others as well. I am not writing about anything but the older (vintage) much smaller non SLOPE mower machines!
These Kut Kwicks are from my extensive experience some of the best of all 500 pound machines for brush clearing. As but one current comparison the DR Mowing machines of comparable size is a joke to the two Wheel Gravelys and single cylinder Kut Kwicks too. You seem to suggest because great machines are being scrapped it means they are worthless. Everything becomes scrap trash and even carrion sir even you. Yet to suggest because people are so very often extremely ignorant to the value of things that things have no value is disgusting to me and I suggest to the wise.
Do tell me sir How I may be of help to you as well with anything? The difference between me and others is I do my own work and so I know what is the actual best no nonsense even rough but reliable machines ever made. The two wheel Gravely tractors were some order of magnitude (ten times) more popular but I have had some near dozen of them so I know both intimately. I sure wish I had made a video for 5 minutes of my working Kut Kwick because then no one except a true fool could miss see me accomplishing what no other machine in the world can do triple and more quickly and effectively. Those old Kut Kwicks properly set up with proper belts and tensioning often over time with less and less safety parts do look gruesomely rough and even dangerous too. I have no video but need none as I spent a hundred hours on such machines. Such a machine easily captured in a proper video to the wise is worth so many thousands of words and dollars too. There is one video on the internet of this machine yet it does not suggest the operator can more than mow with his machine or show off the magic or forwards and reverse and turning close to as well as a Zero Turn Radius machine too! I believe in some reversing the Kut Kwick may even be superior to ZTRs. Ben Kohn [email protected]
