Belt replacement

I have a IH cub cadet model 149 equipped with a Johnson loader. The loaders pump belt broke. I have a new one to replace it but the drive shaft to the rear Hydro pump needs to be removed in order to get the belt on over it. Ive removed all bolts from the shaft, front and rear. Looks like it is sleeved on both ends. Whats the secret to getting the shaft off to get a new belt on? Thanks, Carden

Is there a neophrene biscuit used on your driveshaft? If there is you may be able to remove the biscuit and replace the belt. If it has a biscuit make a sketch how it's installed. Hal
PS: My Wards tractor has two biscuits one on each end.

It does, on the rear only. It is a continous circle around the shaft. I would have to cut it to remove it. That would give me probably 3/8" more movement for the shaft. Maybe that would be enough to slip it out from the front. Thanks Hal
