start looking on CL. Dixie Chopper, gravely, toro, exmark, ferris, scag, great dane, wright, lesco, jd, yazoo, bob cat, ransomes, hustler, jacobson, are just a few off the top of my head. Things to look out for is new components, in the hyd side, if a pump or a motor is new, on one side, only, then it might have been patched up to sell. Caveat emptor!

The Dixie chopper has the best zero turn, there the only one who has suspension, the have forks like a motorcycle, and no one else has that, every other brand rides rough, and the Dixie chopper is 100% made in the USA including all there parts, so you get real quality not that china crap.not to mention, you only have to worry about the deck and rim paint, as the rest is stainless steel, every other mower will look faded and scratched up while this will still shine.and they have the deepest deck in the industry, so minimal balling in wet tall grass. And them and John Deere will be the only one to hold there money somewhat together and not fall apart totally like the others.

Some Ferris mowers also have frame suspension.
All makes that I know of offer s suspension seat and an extra cost item.

The biggest problem with buying a used commercial mower is that they are usually pretty much used up before they are sold.

Yeah, I think all of our newer mowers have a spring seat, and a ferris????? What is that generic, might be a little more for the Dixie chopper, but nice you have it you won't go back. There more expensive for a reason. You get what you pay for.
Here's the specs I found, probebly bigger than you need but, and there the only one who offers the rod handle to move your grass deflector while still sitting, you can even do it on the go.
