Moline 112 Transaxle

Morning Everyone,

The rear end on my mower mentioned above sure makes allot of noises and quirks. So i"m definitely thinking a rebuild this summer is in order. Can anyone tell me more? Advice, a schematic would be great, parts places. Just looking for whatever help i can get. Thanks all.

It's a Jacobsen painted in Minneapolis Moline colors. They made garden tractors for Ford and Oliver as well.

I think I may have a skematic. However getting a used from any Jacabson would be cheaper

If its a gear drive, the transmission is a Peerless. I forget the series. I have been looking for the same transmission for a Jacobsen Chief 1000 for several years.

Peerless was owned by Tecumseh. both have been sold twice in the last few years. I am not sure parts are still available. No help through Jacobsen either, at least the places I have checked. Jacobsen has been sold at least once as well.

Some parts still available through John Deere, I think. A version of that transmission was used in the 112 and 212. but not all shafts interchange. Jacobsen has the drive pulley on the other side, requiring different shafts than Deere.

okay great, i'm hoping to tear into this summer and will be sure getting ahold of you then. By any chance now do you have the gasket kit parts number so i can order ahead?

hte diff.case gasket part number from john deere is m41030 gasket.i also have a parts breakdown for the differential,if you need it.
