Sears Roto-Spader 785.50651 (parts)

I have a Sears tiller model #785.50651 given to me by my father. I'm 45 and I know it's older than me... I have the original manuals. I'm looking for the drive-clutch part #506461. Sears stopped carrying the parts in the 90's. Any suggestions or comments as to where I could get parts would be greatly appreciated. I put a new engine on it 5 years ago and it really does a great job. Not ready to give up on it yet.
Thanks.

Tim, have you tried Outdoor Distributors?

I have an old (circa 1973) True Value garden tiller that I've been able to find parts for through their website. (My tiller cross-references to an MTD, I believe.)

I took a quick look at the Outdoor Distributors website, and that "785" prefix in your model number comes up as being manufactured by "General Power".

I didn't dig further on the website for your part number, but it may be worth giving them a call.

FYI: I haven't used my tiller since last summer, but it started on the second pull yesterday! (It usually starts on the first, so one of us is getting old...)

Thanks Tom.

I tried Outdoor Distributors and got the same answer as Sears - parts no longer available since approx. '97. Will continue to search salvage yards as it appears to be my only hope. It's warming up hear in PA so I'm running out of time.

Thanks again and I know on my end it's definitely me getting old...
Take care.

Try contacting mtd customer service they may/may not be able to help you.

Your tiller was made by magna america which was bought by general power equipment, several yrs later general sold a division of company that included tillers to mtd.

I have an old agway tiller from late 60s-early 70s that I bought used made by magna america, several yrs ago I was able to download an operators manual/parts list from mtd website, you might be able to locate a clutch by doing goggle search's or checking on ebay, due to fact clutch nla they are extremely hard to find if at all,the rev clutch on mine is starting to go,when it does I'll either use without power rev or scrap tiller.
