Does anyone know anything about an antique reel mower made by the Montgomery Machine co of Gilbertsville Pa? I have one in great shape

When I had the other home I had two reel self-propelled mowers. All my neighbors had riding rotary mowers. One Spring we had a lot of rain and the grass grew like crazy. We mowed ours in our bare feet. We would walk off to the side. Our neighbor couldn't ride his mower so he walked along side of the riding mower.

We bought a lot of items from Wards. I still have one of their garden tractors made in 1971 that I bought new. They also sold a Wards small farm tractor called the Twin-Row. I never saw a riding reel from Wards. You should post a picture of it. Hal

El Toro, what he's talking about is not something sold by Wards. About 60 miles west of my part of New Jersey, in Gilbertsville, PA was a company named Montgomery Machine Company. I've been to a couple 'clean out the barns the farm is sold' type auctions where a mower made by them has shown up, but I have yet to see a working example.

I found one of those, in an old barn, on friends farm. Had a Clinton engine on it air tires, rope start, and mowed grass. Gave it to my son-he probably sold it at the Portersville steam show flea market. I"ll have to ask him--
