Murray Lawn Tractor Transaxle

I need a transaxle for an old Murray Lawn Tractor. The best I can read the label on the back of the mower it is a model 8-38222 and under that is a date code of 295 ( there may be a 7 or a T after the 295 or not). The transaxle has a tag that reads on three lines 801 016B PEERLESS 7280 1820 . The transaxle was disassembled years ago. Thanks for any help. shinnerytree at yahoo dot com or 3two5 537 two564.

Surplus sales in Nebraska might have what you need

Those transaxles were manufactured by Peerless and sold to a number of companies. Check with a local mower repair shop or some of the small engine suppliers online, I think you can still get a service manual for them. OR you can just Google "peerless lawn mower transaxle" and browse through the menue.
