finally checked the netural swtich by bypassing it and it did not help. Cleaned battery terms. and still no go. Thinking it might be side mounted selenoid. again , thanks for you help
 
Run a heavy wire directly from your battery to the starter to see if the engine spins over. Be careful where your fingers are. Some of those solenoids need to be grounded during the initial start. My Wards tractor has pedal that needs to be depressed before the engine will crank. Once the engine starts you remove your foot off the pedal. There should be a battery cable that runs from the solenoid to your starter. It should only have voltage when making an engine start. Use a volt meter to check for voltage.
