I just got a Case 222 that has had the frame extended and a fully functional dump bed added. It has hydrostatic drive and 2 speed rear end.

Well, I believe you. I saw something like you describe on e-Bay probably five years ago. It was home made, of course. If one person built one, then logically someone else is bound to do the same.

As for the tractor being hydrostatic, I think that is probably an error. Most likely, it is a hy drive tractor that uses a fixed displacement gear pump.

I have seen the garden tractor as you describe several times. People do customize them in various ways.
Case didn't use a hydrostatic drive, but they used a hydraulic drive and the two speed rear end.
If you want to see all kinds of unusual creations come to the Portland, Indiana show, you will see it all.

I added another picture on the mowers pictures of the bed in full tilt position. These Cases have hydraulic drive no hydrostat I was told, it also has a 2 speed axle.
